Oudenaarde | Belgium | 2016

Small towns always have their ups and downs. Oudenaarde was not very eventful, but I did manage to do some shopping. On an afternoon off I decided not to waste it and travelled to Oudenaarde.

Situated about half an hour from Ghent, the small town has a square for cars to park, a beautiful old church and exquisite architecture (like most places in Europe). It was one of the towns which was destroyed during the war, so most of the buildings were new.

I enjoyed the town’s atmosphere and walking along the different shops. Instead of trying to come up with more feelings towards the town or writing a history, I’ll include pictures.
