I went for two nights, the first me and
some friends walked around the city centre where a few stages were set up, the
most popular being Pole Pole. The stage is on site of the channel while people
can stand in front of the stage or on a platform which is on the channel. They
said this year there were less people due to the attacks which have been
happening, but there was still a large amount of people.
The second night we headed to another
part of the city where we found some creative works which were being sold.
Further on we ended up n a square with a lot of food stalls – even a vegan one.
We ended up in a park which had a bohemian hippy vibe where people were dancing
and sitting on the grass and just enjoying the music and atmosphere. It was a
very laid back vibe and not as crowded at some of the other places. I highly recommend the festival; it
shows Ghent’s best side.
