Sacré-Coeur | Day 3 | Paris

The last thing on our list was the Sacré-Coeur and lucky for us our hostel was situated very close by. We passed various tourist shops as we walked up the hill. Then we climbed the stairs until we were in front of the Sacré-Coeur and all its glory.

The view of Paris from in top of the hill was beautiful and worth the walk. I recommend it to anyone who plans on visiting Paris. It gives a good idea of how huge the city is and where what is located.

The inside was beautiful and huge, with biblical art along the walls and a painted ceiling. It felt incredible to walk in a manmade building which was so enormous. Once done inside we decided to have a look on the outside as well. We walked around to the back where an angle, gargoyles and pointy towers could be seen on the roof top. It was spectacular to see some many historic details and beauty in one place.

We made our way down the hill again and silently said goodbye to Paris. Once we retrieved our luggage from the hostel we set out for the metro and then home. The trip was a success and we had such a great time and made memories that will last forever. Even though it was my second time in Paris it felt like my first.
