16 August 2016 - Namur is one of my favourite cities in the French part of Belgium. It is alive with beautiful architecture and unique shops. It was far from where we stayed, so we did not spend as much time in Namur as we would have liked. We visited the Felicien Rops museum as well; which took up some of our time, but was completely worth it.
One of the highlights of Namur was the umbrella street, which is a street decorated with hanging umbrellas. I’ve seen that this trend is spreading to quite a few cities; it’s a smart way to give a beautiful scenery as well as shade. And speaking of shade… It was a burning hot day. Several times we were fast walking to get to the shade.
The centre had a unique variety of shops with intriguing window displays. I wish we could have explored some more, because I’m sure the city has a lot more to offer than what we saw.
xoxo
