This is the second year the Free State Flower Fest was held in the small town of Parys. The floats were beautifully decorated with different flowers, the attention to detail unavoidable. Dressed in colourful clothes, the dancers had vibrant dance moves and a spontaneous atmosphere. We only stayed for the floats, but there were DJ’s playing till late in the evening. It’s a great event to attend if you want to explore the town with all its quaint coffee shops, hidden gems and antique and craft shops.
